Courthouse Elevator Bid

1.1 Invitation to Bid
Bids for the Elevator Modernization located at the Lawrence County Courthouse will be received by the Lawrence County Board at our office, 1100 State Street, Lawrenceville, IL 62439.

Bids will be received until 4:00 PM CST, 8/2/2024 and then publicly opened and read at 10:30am CST on 8/14/2024, during the Building & Grounds Committee meeting. The recommendation of the Building and Grounds Committee will be put before the entire County Board at the regular scheduled Board Meeting at 4:00pm CST on 8/21/2024. Bids received after the deadline will not be opened. No verbal bids or modification to a bid will be considered.

The Lawrence County Board may reject any or all the bids on any basis and without disclosure of a reason. The failure to make such a disclosure shall not result in accrual of any right, claim or cause of action by any unsuccessful bidder against the Lawrence County board.

As used herein, ''Contractor" means the successful bidder and "Owner" means the County of Lawrence.

The contractor is required to satisfy the requirements of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/0.01 et. Seq.) including, but not limited to, keeping a record of the name, occupation, and actual hourly wages paid to each employee. A certified transcript of payroll will be required with each progress payment and or upon completion. The contractor shall also supply a certified transcript of payroll for any subcontractors involved. 

1.2 Identification of the Project
The official name and location of the project shall henceforth be known as:

Completion: In a reasonable time after given written notice to proceed.
