The jury trial for Tuesday Sept 17th has been canceled.  Jurors do not need to report.

Candidate Petition Packets: Pursuant to the Consolidated Election to be held on April 1, 2025, candidate petition packets are now available and the circulation of petitions has begun as of August 20, 2024.  Candidate filing dates are from November 12 to November 18, 2024 with the appropriate office of filing.  Municipalities (Lawrenceville, Bridgeport, Sumner, St. Francisville, Russellville) will have petition packets for city offices to be contested.  The office of the Lawrence County Clerk will have petition packets for both Unit #10 and Unit #20 school board candidates.  Township offices to be elected will be conducted in the form of caucuses to be held in each township on December 3, 2024.  Anyone with any questions may contact the county clerk's office at (618) 943-2346.

Notice of Public Hearing: A hearing is scheduled for Friday, September 20, 2024 at 10:00 AM in Courtroom A of the Lawrence County Courthouse, 1100 State Street, Lawrenceville, IL 62439.  The purpose of the hearing is to allow for public comments and questions in conjunction with the approval of election judge commissions for elections to be held in Lawrence County during the 2024 to 2026 election cycle.  A roster of the election judges is available and can be viewed by any interested persons in the office of Lawrence County Clerk Will C. Gibson.  The clerk's office is located in the courthouse and is open to the public from 8am to 4pm Monday-Friday.
