The County of Lawrence, Illinois, is accepting applications for the position of Emergency Management Agency (EMA) Director. The ideal candidate will have some level of experience in an emergency management role at either the municipal, county, state, or federal level and/or an educational background in emergency management or homeland security. Persons interested in applying for the position are asked to drop off or send a resume to the Lawrence County Clerk, 1100 State Street, Lawrenceville, IL 62439 on or before November 8, 2024.
Bids for an upgrade and replacement of the camera system located at the Lawrence County Courthouse, 1100 State Street, Lawrenceville, Il will be received by the Lawrence County Board at its office located in the courthouse. Bids will be received until 4:00 PM on Friday, December 6, 2024. Bids will be opened and read on Wednesday, December 11 at 10:30 AM at the Building and Grounds Committee meeting at the courthouse. The recommendation of the Building and Grounds Committee will be put before the Lawrence County Board at its regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, December 18 at 4:00 PM at the courthouse. Bids received after the December 6 deadline will not be opened. No verbal bids or modification to a bid will be considered. The Lawrence County Board retains the right to reject any or all of the bids on any basis without disclosure of a reason. The failure to make a disclosure shall not result in accrual of any right, claim or cause of action by any unsuccessful bidder against the Lawrence County Board. The successful bidder will be required to satisfy all of the requirements set forth in the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/0.01 et. Seq.) including but not limited to keeping a record of the name, occupation, and actual hourly wages paid to each employee. A certified transcript of payroll will be required with each progress payment and or upon completion. The contractor shall also supply a certified transcript of payroll for any subcontractors involved.
