The Illinois Legislature recently passed HB 3878, which increases the Rental House Support Program (RHSP) fee by an additional $9.00. The increase affects recording fees in all 102 counties throughout the State of Illinois, and it is scheduled to take effect on July 1, 2023. Any document submitted for recording beginning on or after this date must include an additional $9.00 for the RHSP.

- Any document with more than 5 references, parcel ID numbers or legal descriptions
- Any document that creates a division of an individual parcel ID number
- Any document that does not conform pertinent to 55 ILCS 5/3-5018.1
